Bergen Facilitation Collective

Learn with us

Facilitation is a practice

We learn by trying things out, reflecting on what happens and practising with others.

Join the community

We welcome new members twice a year, in September and February. Curious? Come and meet us.

How we learn

  1. Community of Practice

monthly practice, reflection, support and challenge

  2. Experience Spaces

public events where people can experience facilitation in practice.

  3. Learning Modules

three-hour sessions to explore and practise different parts of facilitation

Facilitation extends far beyond selecting participatory methods or managing workshops.

How we understand facilitation

Join the journey

There is no single path to becoming a facilitator. You learn by doing, noticing, reflecting, experimenting, getting things wrong and trying again.

Facilitation means reading the wider system, working with relationships and competing interests, noticing power and assumptions, and adapting as situations evolve. Good facilitation may look simple from the outside. Doing it well takes rigorous practice, reflection and self-awareness.

Pick the spaces that help you grow. Stay curious. Keep practising.
